I was at brunch with a friend who had just engaged this morning. After admiring her mine-cut diamond engagement ring, she turned to me and said, “Now we’re trying to figure out our venue.” But I don’t know where to begin!

And I understand! It is a difficult task to find the right venue. The venue will determine the style, tone, and number of guests for your wedding. The decision is huge, and there are many options – especially if you live in Texas. We researched for you and found the best venues, from indoors to outdoors, minimal to extravagant.

The White Sparrow barn

You’ve probably seen The White Sparrow Barn’s iconic interior if you follow wedding blogs on Instagram. The White Sparrow Barn is a wedding venue admired internationally for its white walls, large windows, and high ceilings. Its rustic charm, modern minimalism, and combination of light and airy spaces will impress any guest.

The grounds are also gorgeous! As the afternoon Texas heat fades, you’ll have plenty of space to explore among the rustic farmland and old oak trees.

Camp Comfort B&B

Camp Comfort is a perfect place for an intimate weekend getaway. It was initially built in 1860 and used as a bowling lane. It is a charming boutique bed and breakfast that combines the old and new. The tin-roofed accommodations open to a courtyard, perfect for a dinner outside and dancing. The green lawn, with the creek as a backdrop, is ideal for your wedding ceremony. The indoor mess hall has the original alley flooring! The following day, you can gather for Breakfast and continue the celebration!

Gruene Estate

The Gruene Estate is a unique twist on the classic chapel wedding. The open-air chapel has stained-glass windows suspended from the ceiling and exposed beams on the rafters. It offers 360-degree views. A covered pavilion is just a few steps from the property and provides plenty of space for dancing or dining. The sprawling lawns invite games like corn hole or bocceball. This is the perfect venue for the modern bride who loves the outdoors but wants to keep it traditional.

Hotel Havana

Want to feel like you’re at a destination wedding without traveling? Hotel Havana is a great option. This riverfront hotel has a lively Spanish-Caribbean theme and a bar and restaurant for a reception. This venue is perfect for brides with a small guest list and love margaritas.

The Contemporary Austin at Laguna Gloria

You may be looking for an Italian-style wedding with a relaxed atmosphere. The Contemporary Austin at Laguna Gloria can transport you to your dream Lombardy countryside. This lakeside villa is ideal for a large outdoor celebration and banquet-style dining.

Vintage Airstreams Group Camping

You like having guests stay with you but want something more adventurous than a boutique B&B. This Airbnb may be the perfect option for you. This venue has a lodge and a safari-themed veranda, multiple outdoor platforms for your ceremony and reception, and vintage airstreams you and your guests can stay in. A pool above ground and bicycles are available to provide additional entertainment and relaxation.

Airbnb offers a wide range of properties for significant events and parties. If you don’t mind doing some DIY, it can be an excellent option for brides on a budget.

The Capri

The Capri is the place to go if you want something different for your wedding. This converted military hangar and hotel venue features an industrial, open space for dancing and dinner and a botanical garden with five fire pits. Accommodation is located across the street. The new restaurant (opened by a Michelin-starred chef) offers some incredible eats inspired by ancient cuisines in the region. You and your guests can enjoy them! View the entire property from above with our 360-degree view.

Ma Maison

Ma Maison is an excellent venue for an outdoor wedding with a French Chateau flair. The lakeside venue is spread over 23 acres with various beautiful locations for your ceremony. My favorite is the antique wrought-iron French pavilion, which brings out art-nouveau romance.

Ma Maison offers a stunning indoor experience with a grand hall of 4,000 square feet featuring exposed wood beams, crystal chandeliers, and beautiful wooden beams.

Barr Mansion Artisan Ballroom

The Barr Mansion and Artisan Ballroom is the perfect place to combine your tastes. The Victorian mansion features wide, crisp porches with intricate architectural details. Then, move the party to the Artisan Ballroom. It was built using reclaimed barn beams and features a 40-foot window wall.

Blanton Museum of Art

The BMoA can be the perfect venue for that elegant black-tie event you’ve always wanted. The Rapoport Atrium will make you feel a sense of grandeur with its 50-foot high ceilings, archway details, and “Stacked water” installation, which covers the entire room. This venue offers you and your guests the opportunity to explore the galleries of the Michener Gallery Building on the first level throughout the evening. We recently featured a fantastic Blanton-styled wedding shoot! ).

This museum will be transformed into an ornate, intoxicating celebration with a live band and lighting design.

One Eleven East

You are an artist, and you want to create something unique. One Eleven East will be your canvas. This historic loft still features the original arched front doors, windows, beadboard walls, and floors dating back to 1893. This venue used to be the East Street Social Club, where lavish dinners and late-night shows were held. If you accept the challenge, your goal is to continue this tradition!

The Astorian

This venue is perfect for those who have always dreamed about a vintage wedding. This 14,000-square-foot loft is an art-deco design with exposed brick arches and Edison-bulb-decorated ceilings. It also has floor-to-ceiling windows that offer stunning views of Houston’s skyline. The Astorian provides the perfect setting for a winter wedding (or New Year’s Eve).

Pecan Grove

Want to take beautiful pictures near the water but not in wine country? It would be best if you visited Pecan Grove. Pecans shade the estate and offer a variety of locations for your ceremony. A large lodge with a glass front decked in twinkle lights can be used indoors. Relax with family and friends around the stone fireplace as the evening winds down.
